Regional Director of Coaching (Voluntary)

Responsible to:

-    The State Development Director for organising and conducting regional coaching activities in each council area, promoting the development of coaching, safety and athlete development in the sport for all grades, from novice to elite sports persons and 

-    Work within the guidelines and direction of the QPA Executive Management Committee and Development Director.

Requirements:

-    Australian Coaching Council Level 2 Accredited Coach.

-    Thorough working knowledge of the sport in the coaching, training and competitive areas, with a minimum 2 years experience at Level 2.

-    Available to work irregular hours eg. weekends/evenings and available to travel where required.

-    Ability to relate to and work with all age groups at various levels of expertise.

 

Duties:

-    Liase with the State Development Director and State Administrator to ensure that common standard’s, planning and development are being maintained.

-    Work in conjunction with the State Development Director and State Administrator, for coordination of competition events, courses, examinations, seminars etc.

-    Facilitate courses, examinations and seminars for coaches, instructors, and jumpmasters in conjunction with the State Development Director and Regional Chairperson of the Instructor Coach Panel.

-    Facilitate Courses, seminars for Technical personnel in conjunction with the Development Director, State Administrator and various Panel Chairpersons.

-    Coordinate with State Development Director to conduct specialised squad training camps and programs for selected talented athletes, and with the APF Talent Identification Program.

-    Facilitate special competition/coaching programs for juniors, advanced novices, state teams and inter/intra club events

-    Attend competitions, conferences, seminars in Australia and overseas where possible and keep up to date with new techniques and knowledge in the sport.

-    Ensure that the incumbent complies with relevant acts to ensure legal and ethical standards are maintained.
