The North Queensland Parachute Council exists to develop the safe conduct of sport parachuting in North Queensland (all the territory in the State of Queensland north of the Tropic of Capricorn [26.5 degrees S]).
Our vision for the future is to pursue excellence in sport parachuting through the effective management and development of the sport throughout NQ.
We envisage an environment of increasing participation, continual improvement in safety, increased levels of competition participation, improvement in competition results on an International and National level and increased access to the sport for the general public.
OFFICE BEARERS 2024/2025
(QPA) Queensland Parachuting Association
Summary of QPA plan for dispersal of the Qld Sport and Rec "Active Industry Fund” grant 2024-2025 (NQPC-SQPC combined application)
NQPC pays for 30% of the administration costs and receives 30% of the Sport and Rec funding for the next 18 months, which is the term of the government grant. Invoices for administration will be issued every 6 months.
SQPC pays for 70% of the administration costs and receives 70% of the Sport and Rec funding for the next 18 months, which is the term of the government grant. Invoices for administration will be issued every 6 months.
The 30% - 70% division is based on per capita of sporting members, which will be monitored quarterly on receiving the APF quarterly report.
With all administrative costs paid by the councils, the full amount of the funding ($53250) will be spent purely on re-imbursing the councils for any money they have spent on meeting the Key Delivery Areas which have been imposed by Sport and Rec. There is no set amount that has to be spent, as long as we can demonstrate SOME expenditure in each of the categories.
Key Delivery Areas
As set out in Attachment A (this is a Sport and Rec document)
The Government KDA categories we have agreed to are:
Initiatives to inspire women and girls to get active and remain active: Nationals training for females, female instructor training, female coaching camps
Flexible and innovative participation options: A broad category, includes B-Rel camps, iFly collaborations, Learning Curve and intermediate camps
Talent identification and participant pathways: Support for athletes going to nationals and world meets
Governance improvement: Policy and procedure manual development for QPA and area councils (if you develop procedure manuals for area councils you can claim funding for the time you have spent on this)
Skilled volunteer investment: Office Bearer training, and national conference rebates
Education and training—Accredited: Formal sports administration and coaching accreditation
Education and training—Non-accredited: APF regulated instructor and coach training and accreditation
